We are creating pleasing and prosperous environments focusing on interactions between plants and humans to create an functional ecosystems
How we do it?
- 1
Implement permaculture and biophilic principles
Imitating patterns we find in nature positively affects our well-being and productivity. In biophilic spaces, most of us have better moods, experience greater job satisfaction, and feel less stress.
- 2
Apply science papers to reality
Thanks to this, we are demonstrably able to improve concentration, calmness, and regeneration of people who frequently spend time in the space. A well-designed space takes care of its inhabitants — and they take care of it.
- 3
Building long-term and respectful partnerships
Expertise and experience didn't come to us by chance, but thanks to ongoing long-term business relationships with partners who can appreciate our approach, respect mistakes, and give space for their correction.
Our goal is to implement biophilic design and cultivate it with permacultural principles
Permaculture is a holistic land management design approach that mimics natural ecosystems to create sustainable, resilient systems. It's a philosophy and practice that aims to create self-sustaining environments by integrating human activity with nature, minimizing waste, preventing pollution, and enhancing biodiversity. Sustainability for us is not an additional category or added value — it's the fundamental layer. We don't want to bring more artificiality into the space, but to maintain its natural balance.
Show articlesObserve and interact
Take time to engage with nature to design solutions that suit a particular situation.
Catch and store energy
Develop systems that collect resources at peak abundance for use in times of need.
Obtain a yield
Emphasize projects that generate meaningful rewards.
Apply self-regulation and accept feedback
Discourage inappropriate activity to ensure that systems function well.
Use and value renewable resources and services
Make the best use of nature's abundance: reduce consumption and dependence on non-renewable resources.
Produce no waste
Value and employ all available resources: waste nothing.
Design from patterns to details
Observe patterns in nature and society and use them to inform designs, later adding details.
Integrate rather than segregate
Proper designs allow relationships to develop between design elements, allowing them to work together to support each other.
Use small and slow solutions
Small and slow systems are easier to maintain, make better use of local resources, and produce more sustainable outcomes.
Use and value diversity
Diversity reduces system-level vulnerability to threats and fully exploits its environment.
Use edges and value the marginal
The border between things is where the most interesting events take place. These are often the system's most valuable, diverse, and productive elements.
Creatively use and respond to change
A positive impact on inevitable change comes from careful observation, followed by well-timed intervention.
Science based approach is always better than just opinions
Systematic research is a more solid foundation than personal impressions or unverified opinions. Even though most of us instinctively know that surrounding ourselves with greenery (or nature) is always better than the opposite, academic research creates knowledge about biophilia that can be reliably verified, replicated, and critically evaluated. This approach gives you confidence that your impressions and natural inclination toward nature are real, and gives us confidence that our actions are based on an objective foundation.

240
Out of 300 total respondents, 240 strongly agree that the presence of natural elements (indoor plants) in the office environment contributes to stress reduction. [source]
57.5 %
More than half of employees show better attention at work when there are indoor plants in offices and break areas. [source]
~ 0,07–0,16 m³/h
Soil cleans air from formaldehyde pollution up to five times faster (soil 0.07-0.16 m³/h, plants 0.03 m³/h). Thanks to this finding, a plant planted in soil can be considered the best combination for air purification. [source]
We cultivate relationships between plants as well as between people – us and our clients. And we seek harmony in that.
Our expertise is not based solely on knowledge, but on relationships. Long-term collaborations allow us to understand our clients' environments in depth – together we fine-tune spaces, plants, and care to match the current situation while maintaining continuity. Respect for our business partners means being willing to communicate, admit mistakes, propose new solutions, and learn together. It is precisely thanks to clients who understand the process, can appreciate quality, patience, and long-term sustainability, that we have been able to grow while remaining true to our values.

From Kvítka v bytě to Oasa studio

Hello, I'm Veronika,
I'm the founder of Kvítka v bytě, author of two books on plant cultivation, professional gardener and permaculture designer. I love taking care of not only plants but also the relationships I build through my work with plants, and this has been the case since 2017, when I started with Kvítka v bytě.

Thanks to inspiring clients, our great team, from whom I feel strong support, and my studies at ZF MENDELU, which give me the necessary formal knowledge, I had the courage to start the Oasa studio project. Thanks to this, both I and my business are moving forward by a big step. When designing solutions and implementing interior greenery, environmental responsibility and functional use of all elements with respect to the space and people who spend time in the space daily is most important to me. I'm not an advocate of endlessly replacing plants in dark corners, nor of careless use of materials that can be replaced with natural or recycled/recyclable ones. I don't design moss walls from stabilized moss, nor artificial plants.
I'm a vegetarian, I have a natural garden with a snake house and extensive orchard. In the future, I would like to move to the countryside with my family (and keep cows there).
