Plants as a natural part of architecture

A modern office doesn't have to be just representative, but also pleasant for everyday work. For Pluto Legal, we designed plantings that promote concentration, improve acoustics, and sensitively complement the distinctive architectural concept.
The interior of the Pluto Legal law firm works with the strong brand identity – a dark blue ceiling, black details, rust carpet and clean white surfaces. Our task was to design the greenery in a way that supports this atmosphere, not disrupts it.
Instead of solitary plants, we used long linear plantings integrated into the furniture. Tall cabinets naturally hide the office’s technical facilities, while at the same time creating the ideal place for a continuous strip of greenery that softens the high space and connects the individual rooms.
We chose species with a distinctive leaf structure and high tolerance for interior conditions. The repetition of a few plants creates a calm rhythm that matches the character of a law firm – a representative environment where nothing is distracting or random.
Plants also appear in meeting rooms and work areas, where they contribute to more pleasant acoustics and an overall sense of privacy. They are not decoration added at the end. They are one of the layers of the interior that helps create an environment for focused work and important meetings.
The entire project was created in close collaboration with architect Kateřina Zbranka Špidlová, Zeptej se architektky, which made it possible to incorporate greenery into the furniture design and overall composition of the space from the beginning. These are the projects we like best – when plants are not an addition, but a natural part of the architecture.
